Product Overview

The EK-Quantum Surface P240M – Black is a high-performance 240mm liquid-cooling radiator designed to deliver an effective combination of cooling performance, low airflow restriction, and quiet operation. With a substantial 48mm thickness, optimized copper construction, and an improved radiator core, the P240M is built for demanding custom water-cooling systems.

Its multiport configuration provides exceptional flexibility during loop planning, while the low-restriction internal design allows multiple radiators to be incorporated into a cooling loop without placing unnecessary strain on the pump.

48mm Thick Performance Radiator

The P Series Surface radiator features a 48mm-thick radiator core, making it an excellent all-rounder for systems where both thermal performance and acoustic efficiency are important.

Its design is optimized to maintain effective cooling across a broad range of fan speeds, allowing users to operate fans at lower speeds when desired without sacrificing substantial cooling capacity.

Improved Radiator Core

The EK-Quantum Surface P series introduces a redesigned radiator core with an enhanced fin structure and optimized internal layout.

Compared with the previous CoolStream PE radiator core, the Surface P design delivers up to 10% improved core-to-core performance, providing greater cooling potential for modern high-performance systems.

High-Grade Copper Fins & Tubes

The radiator uses high-grade non-louvered copper fins with an 18 FPI density, providing a balanced combination of thermal transfer and airflow resistance.

Across the radiator’s length, 16 copper tubes with a 2mm-wide internal profile help maintain efficient coolant flow while keeping flow restriction low.

Five-Port Multiport Configuration

The P240M provides a total of five G1/4″ ports, offering significant flexibility when planning a custom liquid-cooling loop.

Four connection ports provide additional routing options, while the fifth port located on the end tank is particularly useful for loop draining and air bleeding.

The modular Multiport system also allows plugs and adapters to be configured according to the requirements of the build.

Push/Pull Cooling Support

The radiator is designed to support Push/Pull fan configurations, allowing users to install fans on both sides of the radiator for increased airflow potential.

It is compatible with standard 120mm fans featuring a 25mm thickness, providing broad compatibility with commonly available radiator fans.

Low-Restriction Cooling Design

The internal structure is designed with low coolant flow restriction in mind, helping minimize unnecessary load on the rest of the cooling loop.

Its airflow-friendly design also allows effective radiator cooling at lower fan speeds, helping reduce acoustic output while maintaining strong thermal performance.

Premium Construction & Finish

The P240M combines stainless-steel side plates with durable semi-gloss black paint and high-thermal-conductivity matte black-coated fins.

Thick, extruded aluminum end caps feature a contrasting silver finish and reinforce the radiator structure while providing a premium visual appearance.

Modular & DIY-Friendly Design

The EK-Quantum Surface range was designed as a modular radiator platform, allowing easier disassembly and modification.

This approach makes the P240M suitable for DIY enthusiasts and PC modders who may want to repaint, customize, or otherwise modify their radiator while maintaining a cohesive appearance across the Surface range.

Standardized M4 Screws

The radiator includes black M4 Phillips round-head screws designed for use with standard 120mm fans.

EK recommends using the supplied screws during installation to help avoid accidental radiator damage. The standardized M4 mounting format also provides flexibility when longer screws are required for specific configurations.

EK-Matrix7 Compatible

The EK-Quantum Surface P240M is EK-Matrix7 compatible, allowing it to integrate seamlessly with other Matrix7-compliant EK components.

Matrix7 standardizes product dimensions and port positioning to make custom-loop assembly more intuitive and enable cleaner, more consistent parallel tubing runs.

The radiator can also integrate with Reflection² second-generation Quantum distribution plates and allows users to switch between compatible S, P, and X series Surface radiators where chassis clearance permits.
